From a learning point of view Simulation is a learning environment that simulates reality and in which simulated scenarios happen in a predetermined way.
The Simulation is at its best, when both the environment and the situation can be made as authentic as possible. This helps the participants to set out the training session in the same way as they would in a real situation.
The session is recorded with cameras and microphones and after the simulation follows the most important phase from a learning point of view, debriefing. In the debriefing the recorded material will be watched and discussed. This enables everyone to see their own action from the outsider’s point of view and they can improve their actions if necessary. The simulation training is at its best when team work, leadership and communication are used as learning objectives.
